The Matrix’s Morpheus To Replace Gil Grissom In “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”

Laurence Fishburne (picture, above), the man best known for his role as Morpheus in the Matrix movies, is set to join the TV hit series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” not just one of the casts but as a leading role, replacing the thoughtful Gil Grissom, played by William Petersen (picture, below).

Fishburne, who claimed he had not watched the series before, would be making an appearance in the ninth episode of the series’ 10th season.

But word has it that he would not be entering the picture just as an ordinary man drawn into the intrigue of crime scene investigation.

He would come as a forensics scientist with a secret — how dark the secret will be, is not known but this will be enough to give the series the underlying mystery and a potential twist of event, that could bring the plot deep into into unchartered territories.

A dark secret hidden beneath a hardened college lecturer bent on unraveling why people commit acts of violence — now that a promising plot.

According to a report by AP, Fishburne’s character has a genetic profile that has been identified in serial killers. He meets members of the ”CSI” team during a murder investigation and ends up joining them.

Fishbourne said he was happy “that the episodes that they sent me to look at were really engaging and really wonderful, and kind of dark and moody like a lot of the work that I’ve actually been involved in.”
